Music & Entertainment
Each year since its beginnings in 1974, the Apple Butter Festival has provided a showcase for regional bands playing mostly bluegrass and traditional oldtime. Concerts are free from the bandstand. Street musicians and local kids also love the festival as a music venue. Once the festival closes at 5pm, the movie theater is open and local businesses and clubs often stage evening entertainment
NIGHT TIME FUN The STAR Theater features a family film in traditional neighborhood movie house. A half-dozen fine restaurants offer tasty fare all to the chorus of tree frogs chirping in the woods surrounding town.
