Festival of Light Psychic Fair and Alternative Healing Expo

BERKELEY SPRINGS, WV —- The 22nd annual Berkeley Springs Festival of Light will be a little different this year but you will still see more than 50 readers, healers and purveyors of sacred objects are available to the public in the largest psychic fair and alternative healing expo in the region. Staged at the Ice House on Saturday and Sunday, November 13 and 14, the festival is open from 10am to 5pm both days. “Attendance is year’s past has been almost 1,000 people over the two days so we urge people to come early to arrange appointments with some of the most popular readers and bodyworkers,” said Maryelen Willinghan, a longtime organizer of the event. Throughout the two days, attendees can seek individual answers and insights from practitioners reading everything from past life patterns and Tarot cards to etched stones, auras or the swing of a pendulum. “With all the uncertainty in the world today, we can anticipate lots of people asking questions about finances and jobs along with health and romance,” said Willinghan. A wide range of products are also available including jewelry, crystals, essential oils and flower essences.
”We have the bodyworkers, massage therapists, Reiki masters and the like, set up on the second floor” said Willinghan. “People can go from one to another in their own version of an alternative health buffet.”
The festival began in 1999 by a local group as a way of taking their spiritual work out into the larger community. “The lectures are missing this year to avoid the crowded room but it is at least good to be back.” said Willinghan
Organizers also encouraged attendees to visit the special gallery exhibit at the Ice House. A Season of Wonder! is an irresistible holiday gift show of the one-of-a-kind work of nearly 30 regional artists.
