Camp Hill Cemetery
Encampment site of General Edward Braddock’s army during the French & Indian War, Camp Hill was also the site of Camp Chase, a Federal camp during the Civil War established to guard the railroad. More than 16,000 Union soldiers were stationed here.
Located on route 29/51 just south of the town, it is now a local cemetery with a panoramic view of both the town and the Potomac River. A rutted dirt road winds around the cemetery.
