August 20 5:30pm Concert in the Berkeley Springs State Park. Heather Maloney Indie Rock & Americana Heather Maloney’s music is riveting, her voice adventurous, her lyrics thought provoking. Her expansive range can handle Ella Fitzgerald-style jazz scat and adapt to Beatlesque pop or Joni Mitchell folk. Maloney’s influences are largely rooted in what she calls “adventurous folk.” A singer and songwriter, Maloney’s music is smart, catchy and soulful, based in the traditions of ‘50s folk music through those of mid-late ‘90s acoustic-based coffeehouse heroes and heroines. She uses juicy touches of pop and a little dash of rock ’n’ roll. Her songs are personal. Her passion is contagious. Heather has toured nationally as a headliner as well as in support of acts like Lake Street Dive, Shakey Graves, Gary Clark Jr., Colin Hay, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and many more. The New York Times called her music “utterly gorgeous, visceral” and SPIN Magazine described her as “stunning, breathy, and starkly memorable”. Sponsored by Morgans Art Council. 304-258-2300
